ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND BUILDING DEMOLITION

Owner - Springfield Clinic: 1025 South 7th Street, Springfield, Illinois 62703.

Architect - BSA LifeStructures: 9365 Counselors Row, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240-1478.

Harold O'Shea Builders will receive sealed bids for the asbestos abatement and demolition of several buildings adjacent to the Springfield Clinic Campus. The work of this project is titled Springfield Clinic - Main Campus Expansion; Asbestos Abatement and Building Demolition.

The project bid documents include: 1) Demolition Package by BSA Life Structures dated July 10, 2006. Sealed Bids for all bid packages shall be received in the office of the Construction Manager via fax or mail on or before 2:00 P.M., August 1, 2006.

Insurance Requirements - The following shall be listed as Additional Insureds on the Certificate of Liability Insurance: 1) Harold O'Shea Builders, 2) BSA LifeStructures, 3) Courtice|Grason, and 4) Springfield Clinic.

Each Subcontractor shall provide the Liability coverage limits shown on the sample Certificate of Liability Insurance.

Each Subcontractor performing EIFS/DFIS work shall provide the EIFS/DFIS clause contained on the sample Certificate of Liability Insurance.

Wage Determinations - Not less than the prevailing hourly wage, as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for Sangamon County, shall be paid for any part of the work, or, if applicable, not less than the City of Springfield's Prevailing Wage Ordinance in effect at the time of the work insofar as it may apply.

Bidding Documents - Bidding documents are available from the Construction Manager. Bid bonds are required, and bidders shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment for this work because of race, color, creed, or national origin.

The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The bonds shall be delivered to the Construction Manager prior to the successful contractor being issued the Notice to Proceed.
